btw, on a side note.
they released some new pics of the gt500 on leftlanenews. personally i think the made the front-part too shallow. it's not as thick as ours, but it's certainly a "refreshment"

hmmmmm i'm thinking screw the new car, cause to me it's the same chassis as a gt500 different looks and smaller engine, but the engine is what entices me... if you can s/c that 5.0 considerably without switching the internals i'm swapping my engine for that. I'll wait a few years and see if the price drops or if a car gets totalled. I'm sure it'll drop right in with minor adaptations
just my .02

from what I can see its not very good. 1) Im hoping they are kidding by putting the antenna on the rear like that......very Eclipse-esk 2) The rear looks raised enough to haul a load of bricks 3) You know how the SN95's were really smooth corners/non aggressive and then the new edges got more sharp edged/aggressive....well its like the reverse now. The S197 is very "boxy" and aggressive and the 2010+ looks more rounded/euro/so cal girly. We will see for sure when they really unveil them

The pics make it look as though the new style is too busy. Too many rounded edges....like the flying saucer rear end. What's with the new GT500 front grill???? It doesn't have the hood overhang anymore. It looks like they just push-pinned a plastic rim around the grill insert and said, "Here ya go!"

i might be the only one, but the new gt500's front end looks kind of like one of the original s197 sins.

just the part where the hood meets the grill. maybe i'm just crazy, just what i've noticed.
