I think from what i've seen they are going for a more refined overall design while at the same time attempting to make the exterior more compact&edgy appearing. I liked the new rear design not to crazy about the front but maybe it will look better finished&in person?
Aftermarket stereo manufactureres will always make options available for new cars. It's what keeps their business alive. Anways, I'm not a fan of the mixed vents (round and rectangle) they should've stuck with one or the other. I'm partial to the round ones because they flow with the guage cluster (round).
Also looks like they dumped one of the multi-function sticks behind the steering wheel (windshield wipers) and moved it under the headlight controls on the drivers side. Not a fan of that either. If you have your wheel height and seat adjusted properly you can't see that corner of the dash.

I like it overall. I like the guages hoods are angled with the dash and not so far back deep. The vents are ok but I think I like the round easy close ones we have now. The flat console looks nice. Like the defrost vents beside the side mirrors. Looks like a couple of buttons to the upper left of the gear shift. Do you think that's ambient lighting controls? I don't see any more controls on the steering wheel. I'm assuming the different stereo is beefed up. BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT might be the sirius antenna at the front of the dash. See it?
