I would rather drive a 400hp Mustang II than a Camaro.

There's been no release stating that the SS will start under 30K, and honestly.......I don't think there will be. For GM to offer the SS for under 30K, it would have to take a sizable cost hit (ie: lose money) on every unit sold. The LS2 GTOs started at 31-32K. This car is more advanced in every way. Sorry....don't forsee a sub 30K price tag in the SS' future.

Listen folks.....face it. It's gonna be like this: the GT will have less power but cost less; the SS will have more power but will cost more. And well it should cost more. You're getting alot more car than the GT (IRS, big motor, big brakes)..........you don't get those for free.

For me the price being equal the Camaro will be a better buy across the board.

Even at the published weight of 3880 the 422hp should scoot the Camaro down the 1320 in just under 12.9 seconds.
the 2010 Mustang will weight in a bit more than the S197 due to safty standards and new options, at 3750 and at 350 hp may be at 13.2.

Again the Camaro Dominates the Road, Frankly I am tired of the Camaro always out powering the Mustang, for once I would like to see a 400hp, 5.0L Mustang that weights 3700 and will cut a 1320 at 12.8......

Ford offers 3 basic speed choices for our Mustangs. V6, GT and GT500. If you want more power, buy the GT500. Simple as that. By the way, if Chevrolet doesn't improve the look of the Camaro interior, they may not sell too many of them. It's butt ugly. The exterior looks pretty good but, not nearly as good as the Mustang.

#'s dont mean everything . if i'm not mistaken the irocs had bigger #'s than 5.0's back in the day and still did not perform as good ( but i guess chevy learned after that as we have not been able to catch up since) oh , the pain

Somebody asked me, with the financial situation as it is and the government may not be able to bail out GM & Chrysler...did I really think the Camaro would be released?

LOL am I am an economics major, but I just can't see our big 3 shutting down. But...I don't know, things are in a turmoil. Possible?

I would think the government would bail them out if needed. But, this is the reason I keep telling people to buy American made cars....from the big 3. The quality is very good in the American cars now. I love the Mustang. It looks dynamite, rides good (especially with my new Goodyear Assurance Comfortred tires), shifts great. My lady has a 2001 Toyota Rav4 and the plastic is aging just as fast and starts peeling off just like American made cars. I am trying to get her to trade it in on a Ford Escape. That Escape is a nice small SUV.

I tell peeps to buy American all the time too...and I usually get laughed at.

I had some douche at work trying to tell me his stock 1998 Audi a6 will blow my 06 GT's doors off.

His reasoning:

Because I drive domestic and german engineering is superior.

FO REALS!!!
