68 for sure. I'm 21 and it's hard to turn down an 08 but I'm old school muscle at heart.

I'll take the '08! Sure, the '68 has a better looking exterior imo, but that's all it does better. 40 years of refinement and technology is hard to argue with.

As far as collectibility goes, I'd go with the classic...but for a DD, I'd go with the 08...reliability is huge when it comes to a DD...plus the classic is a collectible rather than a DD.

It looked like the car below except without the black hoodstrips(which I think look bad considering the rest of the car had white strips) and his had a white interior. The car below is a '70, 1970 GT500's were just left over '69 GT500's with the VINs changed and black hood strips thrown on.

Haha the article blatantly says value is not to be taken into consideration.
08 KR FTW. Also depends how far your daily drive is. If I'm on the highway the new KR is going to be more efficient. Then again, even for short drives I would take the new shelby. It will tear a hole into 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999

While I would always go with the '68 if there were no conditions, I have to pick the '08 because "it must be my daily driver and I can not sell it". Once those two conditions are introduced, there is no choice!

It was a really tough decision, but I ended up with the 08. The '68 is awesome, but there are other classic stangs I kinda like the styling a little better (65-66 GT350 and the Boss 302) Plus, as previously mentioned, I can wreck basically anybody on the road.

Well i understand the power issues and that looks are an opinion but driving old cars is not that horrible... if you know anything at all about the most BASIC maintenance they are very reliable, people drove them for years and they didn't all do it at 5 below the speed limit with tune-ups every week... they are not nearly as bad as everyone tends to think, they are after all built to drive on the road with all the other cars... gas would not be too bad if it was driven like a grandmas car but thats true for both of them... IMO 68 all the way but i would take a 08 too...

My first instinct was the '68 for sure. But I think the key here is that it would be daily driven. I drove my '93 GT daily through several winters and cried every time they salted the roads. I think it would kill me to torture the '68 through salty PA winters. I had to pick the '08 as it would be less of a sin.

1968 model for me, 2008 has too much technology, I like opening the hood and seeing a motor, not a jumble of plastic and wires, and hand tools as my only companions, not $500 handheld tuners/computer junk.
