If you were to win a GT500KR...

..would you rather win a 1968 model, or a 2008 model? For a quick explanation of the idea, have a look at this post (<-Click me!!)

So, read the guidelines, and tell us what you would rather have for a DAILY DRIVER!!

'08. Don't get me wrong, I love the old school 'Stangs, but I would have to take the '08 instead of the '68.

Lazor05 10-28-2008 04:00 PM

'68. They're both beautiful cars but I would rather have vintage

Demon 340 10-28-2008 04:02 PM

while it would be nice to have the interior of the 08, i love driving my demon on a daily basis, and i think that the gt500kr would make an awesome DD.

ScremnS281 10-28-2008 04:11 PM

I vote for the 08. I never bought into the "they don't make 'em like they use to" theory.

1slow67 10-28-2008 04:16 PM

Classic. Worth more long term. I really like the 08 KR except for the wimpy rear spoiler.

NorCal5.0 10-28-2008 04:16 PM

Voted 08 Fo Sho!

So_Cali 10-28-2008 04:20 PM

08 for damn sure! 68 is awesome but, the 08 really is the King Of The Road :)

While the '08 would be a much better drive day in and day out. I'd take the '68 for one reason...$$$$$$ '68 is worth atleast twice what an '08 is worth. My grandfather had a '69 Shelby GT500 vert up to a few years ago and it was a great great car to drive and looks much better then IMO. His was a 428 Super Cobra Jet, Drag pack, Race Pack car. It looked like the car below except without the black hoodstrips(which I think look bad considering the rest of the car had white strips) and his had a white interior. The car below is a '70, 1970 GT500's were just left over '69 GT500's with the VINs changed and black hood strips thrown on.

68. now where can i register to win one???

D_Gusler 10-28-2008 05:14 PM

deffinetely the 08----not trying to take away from the 68, but horsepower is addicting. can you say kenne bell FTW :)

Javdog 10-28-2008 05:27 PM

I'll take a 1968 they are both beautiful and I was born that year, plus It is probably harder to find a 1968 then a 2008.

CalV 10-28-2008 05:31 PM

I will go with the 2008. More power,newer,5.4 Supercharged, and it looks really good. And i wouldnt drive a old car like that for a daily driver. keep as a classic dont ruin it.

nikbait 10-28-2008 06:00 PM

The 08 for sure! I love the classics, but you cannot get stuff in a classic like you can in a new car!

kinglasher 10-28-2008 06:03 PM

yeah 08 for me as daily driver...otherwise 68. I mean we're talking no power steering no A/C no cd player no...i'm addicted to technology.

Cuzzo 10-28-2008 06:06 PM

1968 W/O QUESTION

When you compare the two, there's a world of difference. Modern technology vs original innovation. No power windows sux, but damn man... Driving around in a 1968 classic mustang as a daily driver with no cats and and layers of laquer is just raw. You'll break so many more necks driving that car than you will with the 08. And it's not just a question of looks, cuz 300+ HP is still respectable. Anyways I'm not gonna crit everyone with a page of why I'd kill someone for either one of those cars lol. 68 all the way!

crueheadstang87 10-28-2008 06:20 PM

68 all the way baby

Eight433 10-28-2008 06:26 PM

68 fer sher. all an 08 takes is money. 68 is something a lil different.

Daemos 10-28-2008 06:26 PM

While I'd love driving the classic that the '68 is, I'd much prefer an 08' in the long term.

GerRod 10-28-2008 06:32 PM

Are you kidding me? The most technologically advanced horse of all time, the 08!
