I've heard rumors, is anyone for sure if the 302 and 429 are returning? Any guesses on price range?

i have heard rumors that they were putting a 302 with 400hp in the gt's... how true that is i dunno... i also have read that ford threw out the idea of a new svo but instead of a 4cyl turbo, it would be a 6cyl twin turbo... let's see what they come up with...

any ideas/rumors from anyone else??

Oh yeah well I heard they are going to release the death race edition with .30 cal machine guns and a jet turbine engine. :P

But seriously a 429? Not a good idea with the current state of, well everything. Not too many cars can support a 7.0+ L engine right now.

I know ford is working on a 5.0L it would replace 4.6L.
Also 6.2L that is in the raptor pickup at sema this year(2008)

A Boss 302 could certainly happen, assuming all the issues with the rights to the Boss name are squared away. But a 429?...........not happenin in this lifetime. Ford isn't likely to resurrect the pushrod design, and a 7.0 liter OHC motor would be too massive to be practical in the engine bay of a Mustang.

A 5.0l v8 would be great considering it was one of fords best motors they built.
