<------ thinks: "Uh-oh maybe I should change my sig". 'backs up slowly. Seriously this rice thing has gone too far. ITs a RACE CAR. The wing is functional it helps the car perform. IT was not built to be called rice I don't see anything rice about it. This is a very iconic car and you all are missing it because of all this rice BS. Take the car for what it is, a well engineered machine. This is a high dollar race car dosent deserve to even be in the same category as rice. The wings you see as 'rice' on ricers are put there to resemble models from the JGTC which is nothing but race cars. Just appreciate a nice automobile they made to compete with the best of them.
I, personally, never mentioned the word "rice". I can't speak for everyone, but here is specifically what I do not like about this ride...

1) The wing's just TOO big! [:'(]
2) Hate the stainless steel side exhaust tips! [:@]
3) What's up with the opera windows?! Ugh.
4) Don't like the split headlights.
5) Ugly wheels, too?

Well, I guess that's about it. To each his own... [&:] "C"

dude, the thread is taking about the body kit, not the real one.
It started out talking about the body kit but it seemed like they went to the subject of the actual race car.[sm=smiley33.gif]

This is the body we had built for our Speed World Challenge Mustang. We are going to build a 2005 mustang World Challenge car this winter and we will push out the fender and put the big rear wing on for rear grip.

I think that the GTR was built by Saleen's design team in Michigan. I think that they where going for the "trans-am" look of the 1969 season.

Nope it was built by mostly Ford Racing Engineers....go down to the "Proven Race Chasis" section, second line down. This is also the reason that the GTR is equiped with a 5.0 liter cammer engine...a 14grand and change engine made by Ford Racing. It's the same engine that was in those FR500C's that kicked import *** back a few months ago. Salleen would've put his own engine in it.

i love the gtr![8D] the only thing i hate is the side exhaust tips. draws too much attention. they need to find a better way to put the exhaust pipes that does not pop out as much (maybe the back?).
