3 things, 1) If I was getting ready to buy a Mustang, I'd wait and get the newest, latest, and greatest 2010 model. 2), If I had an 05-09 model, I would *not*trade it for a 2010. There's just not enough there to justify it. 3) I think the tweaks of the 2010 mustang are improvements and it does have slightly more power. Advantage 2010 mustang....IMO....

I suppose in 5 years I might be used to the new rear, but the car is just fantastic right up until that point then falls apart. Good thing they didn't make it much more powerful, I'd hate to be showing those tail lights to anyone.

There's not really enough "new" in the 2010 to call it new.
It's kind of like saying do you like the old Demi Moore or the "new" one!
The interior has a few neat features I'd like in my 2005. They might help sell the new car to those who never bought a 2005-2009. The new colors are cool.
But what about the exterior is so much better? And the engine?
You can mod the current exterior to be similar and I'm sure in less than a year there will be plenty of aftermarket hoods to match the new one. Since the chassis wasn't changed maybe you could add the 2010's body to the earlier models.
Had the 2010 come out with a new V6 turbo option (and maybe a 5.0) and IRS I think you'd see more people saying they like it better.
