Its still not impossible that Ford would create a version of the 6.2 at some point in the future as an SE. Sorta like how the 5.4 truck motor got changed and S/C'd to go in the Shelby.

And we all know Ford would never put a truck motor in the Mustang.
Ohh wait they already did, when they used the 4.0L v6, which was in Rangers and Explorers for about 10yrs before making it into the Mustang.
I not saying the 6.2 will make it into the Mustang, just don't rule it out for the wrong reasons.

How come the trucks always end up with the better motors. Like when the lightning got the 5.4 s/c and all we had at the time was a 4v 4.6. And now they still have a 5.4 and we can only have it in a car for 60 grand.

Barooo?
The Lightning 5.4L made 390hp.....Thats the same power as the SVT Cobra(4.6L)....The GT500(with the Lightning engine) made 500 hp. So the cars won.
They might as well call it a Boss Mustang. That would be pretty sweet with a 6.2 which would be the largest motor ford has put in a mustang since the good ol' days of the CJ.
Blame the government's new MPG requirement- supposedly in effect by 2016. At this time, the Mustang will NOT be getting the new 5.0L. It is currently only slated for the F-150.
