Lesson time kiddos!
The new MPG requirements are NOT per vehicle. They are per fleet. Here's an example:
Ford Mustang GT = 26 mpg
Ford Fusion Hybrid = 50 mpg
= 38 MPG average
And that's all Ford needs 7 years from now. It can still have the Mustang, as long as there's fuel efficient cars to balance the efficiency of their total lineup.
totally correct

the ecoboost engine is in the works for f-150, mustang, flex, already in the new taurus and even tested on the 5.0L. i work for ford in orlando FL. ford is comming out with some great new stuff in the near future. and the ne 6.2L is available in t svt raptor f-150 and superduty trucks with 400HP and 400 FT LB torque.
Blame the government's new MPG requirement- supposedly in effect by 2016. At this time, the Mustang will NOT be getting the new 5.0L. It is currently only slated for the F-150.
the 5.0L is comming back in the mustang in 2011 very limited production. less than a thousand.
umm... I'm not sure about that one, by what I've read on websites that might actually know what's going on, I'm getting the feel they're putting the 5.0L coyote in the GT's, they're probably NOT putting the ecoboost in any mustangs, and the 6.2 will be used in the Boss mustangs but only in a selects few while the majority of the Boss mustangs will have something like the 5.4... then again I might totally wrong, we won't know until they put the 2011's on the showroom floors

My dad has been looking for a new truck. We looked at a 2010 Raptor, I thought the outside was ugly, but its so nice inside. If they changed the front of it, and put the regular f-150 front on it, plus that 6.2L motor, that would settle it.

it looks different on the outside because its 8 inches wider than a regular f-150. regular fenders and bedsides won't fit over the tires. its a baja truck, they raced it in the 1000 and it finished third.
