I have to agree with mustangcat. There was a lot of rumors and magazine articles saying the 2010 Mustang getting the 5.0L but we all know what happened with that.

Actually, even the earliest rumors (i.e. motortrend article) stated that the 5.0L wouldn't show up until 2011. That being said, most of the rumors for the 2010-11 have been pretty much on the money.
and NO, the posted article clearly states that the 6.2L will only be seen in the new svt raptor, superduty, and SE trucks. NOT the mustang.
5.0 FTW!

It no where says NOT the mustang. It just says it will go into the trucks, no where does it say it WILL NOT go into a mustang.
A - its been pretty clear for over a year that the 2010's wouldn't get an engine upgrade and that the 11's would.......and the main 'rumor' has always been the new 5.0. Getting a 2010 is a waste of time at this point, only those not in the know will bother to do so, unless they are just getting it because its a bodystyle change.
B - Ford will very likely create a few SE's utilizing "other" engines - whether its the 6.2 or not is still debatable.
If you check out the pictures of the new 5.0, its a very promising looking engine, with a large intake, aluminum rather than plastic, etc.
In any case - you are talking about a 2011 GT putting down roughly 400 HP and 380+ Torque - we should all be celebrating this fact, because the Mustang will have comparable HP to the competitors and STILL weigh less than the Camaro or Challenger.
And should the BOSS end up with a S/C 5.0 or a 6.2 -then watch out.
