Default 2011 GT500?

Has anyone heard any news/rumors on the 2011 GT500 (if there will be one produced...)?

I really am thinking of getting a 2010 GT500, but am concerned they may change the engine as they are supposedly planning to do with the 2011 Mustang.

i've heard rumor of an aluminum block and possible irs, but i think thats all wishful thinking if chevy's not gonna be producing the new z/28. Fords top dawg in that department for now, doubt they'd make a move like that unless they had too.

I would hope that even if the Z/28 never materializes, that Ford will keep it moving with higher performance. The 556 hp. CTS-V drivetrain is too potent to ignore. If the General comes out of it's current situation, they just might follow the trend of incremental power increases each model year .

I just don't want to end up buying the 2010, then as soon as I have had it for a few months they bring out the 2011 with more power...

I want to be able to have the top of the line version for a few years.

I would hold off and see what comes out in 2011 , you can always buy a left over or a low mileage used one. I am holding off trading in my 06 GT to see what Ford comes out with.

If you want any top dogs for that kind of money buy a used Z06... I promise you that even the 2010 or 2011 GT500 can't touch it

if they up the power for 2011, then they'll need to change the name. maybe we'll be shopping for 2011 gt575's.
