ill have to see ford make that kind of stock power without a blower before ill believe it..
Oh now, let's not be a doom-sayer.
Truly though, the ecoboost and 3.7 are both known quantities. No need to argue over what they are capable of. The new 4V 5.0? Well let's put it this way. Saleen made 380ish hp with a 302 stroker kitted 3V 4.6. If Ford dished out the big bucks and engineering manhours to build this new motor, I'm sure it can at least manage what a stroked 4.6 can. Will they push it close to its potential right out of the box? Now that I can't say. But if even half of what I've heard about this motor can be believed, it will be capable of 400+hp no matter what..........even if we have to do a little fiddling to get it there.
As long as it doesn't push up the weight on the GT significantly...the 2011 Mustang will be a very potent modern musclecar. Live axle be damned.

I don't think they correct times at the 1320 for that......

I actually heard that the Coyote 4v is lighter than the current 4.6 aluminum block. Not sure if it's true or not, but interesting to think about.
This sounds like exciting news. And with all the mods that will be out there for the Mustang, as always, I can see this new 5.0 having huge potential. I'm curious to see how Dodge and Chevy can respond....

Both companies are bankrupt. Fiat, the new owner of Chrysler's viable assets came out and said they'll be focusing on fuel efficient and compact vehicles.
I'm afraid the response may be along the lines of, "Introducing the new Challenger! With it's 2.2 liter engine it gets 34 mpg!!!"

Yeah, I remember when they did that to alot of American cars. The late 70's and early 80's were fun, except for the cars.
9 K miles?!?! You can't be enjoying it too much! Haha, drive that baby!
Well I am not the original owner. He bought it new in 2002. From 2002 to 2009 he put 8,997 miles on it. It was mostly in the garage with a cover over it most of her life. Since I've gotten it, I almost have 10k on it now. Been about a month. It was like buying an almost brand new NewEdge in 2009.
