I love a good third peddle but with a future wife that can't drive one and traffic the way it is here it's a no go for me . I wouldn't mind a nice paddle shifting version though
Hey I like that thought.
Easier to drive in traffic than a manual, more fun than a straight automatic, consistency at the 1/4 mile, etc. The Shelby is definitely "sporty" enough to be equipped with one of those as well.

Teach her how to drive a stick its not that hard.
There are talks of an SMG transmission in the future of all mustangs, so you might get lucky.

I was talking to a friend I used to work with at Ford, he said that they are going to "see how well it sells in the Taurus SHO first." Then they might put it in the GT and GT500. I used to drive a BMW M3 with one I loved it. I thought about putting one in my car but it's not worth the money I have to spend to do it.

saw it in action on the taurus now if they can put those fancy paddles in the SHO then i dont see why they wouldnt on the gt500 I've never used the paddles so i cant say one way or the other but i can say i love the way a manual car feels to an automatic
oh btw love the avatar joolander silly zombies and they're love for brains
The problem with the SHO transmission is that it needs a lot of beefing up before it is put in a Mustang, these new transmissions are really new engineering for Ford. They have a problem holding too much power and putting it in a Mustang would be a dumb move before it is strong enough, because it is a car people add power to and as of now SMG transmissions can't handle power with out a great deal of money.
