Question Any chance for an automatic in a future GT500?

With the risk of being labeled a wuss, as it can unfortunately degrade into after time in a thread, I was curious if anyone has heard any rumors, has any interest, or knows if Ford does have an automatic that could handle the power and torque of the GT500 engine? I like the consistency of an automatic at the track and for daily driving in my area an automatic would be far more convenient. So anyone heard anything or can shed any light? Try to take in easy on this forum newbie.

I doubt it would be a factory option but there are several shops out there who have swapped one in. Evolution Performance comes to mind

Thanks for the replies so far. As for a used Roush, I'll be looking new in a few years so it is probably out. Aftermarket swap would void the warantee so that would put it out for me as well. I guess there must not be a business case for one. I'd sure love a fully warranted one I could buy off the showroom floor in a few years. Anyone else, thoughts?

Thanks again for the post so far.

It prolly won't happen anytime soon.

I love a good third peddle but with a future wife that can't drive one and traffic the way it is here it's a no go for me . I wouldn't mind a nice paddle shifting version though
