How many people drive their Mustang during the winter?

Yea, we don't really have that season down here, so the pony does get to stretch her legs all thru December and January.

I drove my '69 in winter and hated it. I even put studded snow tire on it (when they were legal in MI) and still hated it. They helped getting going on icy roads but they slid like crazy when braking even on dry pavement.
Now, see pic, this is how I handle winter in the Stang.

Dont just buy rear tires. If you have all 4 in a winter tire, its a big difference. Like I said, I have driven many winters, in many different cars and survived. We will see how much technology in winter tires, along with traction control, and a little weight, do this winter. I will let everyone know. If you have a choice, sure.... drive something else, but if not then prepare your vehicle correctly.

agreed, buy a set of good tires and maybe a little weight in back and you should be fine, here in north dakota thats not so much the case, it sits in a 55 degree shop so i can add goodies each winter!

I drove it all last winter w/o snow tires and it handled just fine, just added 3 sand tubes to the trunk. Rwd or fwd it doesn't matter, just be smart and drive according to conditions. FWD is just a false sense of security anyway, at least w/ the Mustang I know what to expect, w/ the GFs Fusion, there have been a few times I thought it was just fine until it was already too late and I was plowing through the snow w/ no steering.
