not sure about the reality of this, but got it off another website:

Copied this out of a thread on CC. Looks like 2011s for sale in January delivery in April?
"Since the Mustang was introduced on April 17, 1964, Ford has reserved a special event for April 17, 2010, just 46 years later. For starters the 5.0 Mustang will be available to order in January 2010, as a 2011 model. Carol Shelby will re-introduce the GT-350 after Ford officially announces the 302 has returned. Since there is no substitution for displacement the 6.2 Liter V-8 will also be made available in the model year 2011. With the ordering guide in hand these 45 Anniversary cars should be on the ground and ready for delivery in April 2010. This is just a little of the pre-view of the events Ford and Shelby has planned to celebrate the 45 anniversary of the Mustang.

Every time I add 45 and 1964 I get 2009 :X I heard all of those rumors last year, I'd love to see it back. My friends my mom has a 73 Mach 1 with a 460 Cobra Jet and it is impressive!
Why? Because the whole marketing effort behind the ecoboost is "the fuel efficiency of a V6, with the power of a V8." Really? Chrysler and Dodge put the 368 hp hemi into their 300 and Charger and get 16mpg city and 25mpg highway in a car that weighs almost the same as the Taurus. The Taurus SHO gets 17mpg city and 25mpg highway... I can't justify the high price tag for 1mpg better in the city.
Having said that, there's only one way Ford could market the ecoboost in a Mustang... SVO. (And I'd still rather buy the V8.)

Apparently Lincoln doesn't think it's a joke as they are putting the Ecoboost V6 in their MKZ.
In fact, I don't see 365 hp being a joke. Ford does need to step up since Camaro's V6 is putting out more hp than a Mustang GT.

I wouldn't expect a branch of the company that has invested millions into this engine to think it's a joke. I also wouldn't buy an MKZ.

Neither do I, but why use a complicated forced induction V6 configuration for that HP when you can get the same HP and fuel economy out of a simple V8? It's all about marketing. Ford is trying to convince us that the ecoboost is a fuel sipper when it isn't.

Since when? I think you need to double check that. The Mustang GT still makes more HP than the V6 Camaro, not to mention (and this is what REALLY counts) a hell of a lot more torque.
