2011 5.0 Coyote Testing Against 414HP BMW M3
GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan
Engineers raced a prototype 2011 5.0 Coyote with a 6-speed, track pack, Brembo brakes and it stayed even with a 414HP BMW M3, which weighs 200lbs less, and is faster than a Mercedes C63 with 451HP and 443 FT.
LBS. of torque
They were tweaking the suspension and the brakes over heated constantly, which meant of a needed improved track pack.

you can also google 5.0 coyote at GingerMan Raceway

sad they wouldn't open the hood dam
but it was a test mule with Ford Engineers and it did keep up next to a very powerful sport car.
400hp we can say that much.No sign of a blower, we can say that as well.
looking good

The master tech spoke to a visiting engineer on Mustang Water leaks at work today,
Apparently, the new "Road Runner" project being worked on, is a Dual Turbo Charged 600HP engine, not 540HP, but "tunable" up to insane amounts of power. The engine is being perfected to be factory engineered.
And the 5.0 is here and POWERFUL, despite the fact, I know the factories got $$$equipment to manufacture this new engine..
He also stated, ford is working on LASER IGNITION Modules?, wow lol

yea the lazer ignition has been talked about right now they can get it to work but its beyond profitable to extreme atm and they dont know how they would set up so it would be durable on a v8 8 lazers isnt cost effective but one in a series of mirrors (that brings dirt and grim which is home in a engine) its pretty cool stuff coming down the pipe but for when idk

well, now we know the base 2011 Mustang has a 305HP Naturally Aspirated V-6, that makes as much power as the Current 4.6 V-8,
you HAVE to assume the 2011 GT with the NEW AND improved V-8 will be a blast.
Consider the 4.6 OUT OF THE PICTURE
Its gonna be a hard decision to trade the 5.0, but I think Ill have both lol, the 5.0 is paid for

Does anyone have any rumors about the actual displacement about the engine? It could be up to a 311 cubic inch engine and still be considered a "5.0"
