Fuel economy. They probably need that gear ratio to squeeze out that extra 1 MPG to beat the V6 Camaro's 29 MPG

Nice! Limited slip (even if it's an option still good), 300hp and 280tq.

The ONLY downside I see in the pics is that the intake manifold is the same style as the duratec motors. It folds over bank 1 of the coils/injectors and valve cover. That means any regular maintenance like plugs or troubleshooting will be a bitch for the DIY.

My wife's 3.0L Escape is identical in its setup and the ENTIRE upper intake must be removed in order to reach three of the plugs/coils. Knowing ford, there will be coolant going through that manifold to that too will have to be removed and plugged when working on the upper engine.

* Mustang GT coupe front and rear stabilizer bars
* Mustang GT front struts and rear shocks/springs
* Shelby GT500 rear lower control arm
* Unique 19-inch wheels
* Pirelli performance tires for improved grip
* Mustang GT front and rear brake calipers with Performance Friction pads
* A strut tower brace for increased body rigidity
* Unique electronic stability control calibration with Sport mode for performance driving
* Unique badging

The 2011 Mustang V-6 Performance Package will be available beginning late next summer, built at the Auto Alliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The new 3.7-liter V-6 will be built at Ford’s retooled Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1.
