C&D forgot the most important aspect of a "first drive".....The drive to the drag strip

If you missed it, C&D didn't actually get to Drive the car. They did a passenger ride-along. Anyways, sub 5 second 0-60 and high 12's would make me happy

Ford heaped a lot of attention on the base Mustang, too, which at long last has ditched its ancient iron-block, 4.0-liter V-6 for a new version of Ford’s thoroughly modern DOHC, 3.7-liter V-6. With 305 horsepower, only 10 less than last year’s GT, this more affordable Mustang is no longer a car for poseurs and tanning-salon employees.

thats funny

Maybe I missed it.........but I didn't see a "first drive" impression article anywhere on that page. They mentioned getting a ride along (which they didn't even elaborate on ) and spent the rest of the time spewing out pretty much all the info and details we've already heard from numerous other sources. Sounds like an attempt to grab alot of page views to me. Definitely not a "first drive" impression article IMO.

The article is called "first ride" not "first drive". Don't blame C&D, it's the OP who got it all wrong in his thread title.
