I got to check out the 2010 S281 up close at the auto show and talk with the guys from saleen performance vehicles...its a sharp car, and it got my pick for best paint of the show. (more on that coming soon).

Looks like the S281 has come a long way since the first prototype was unveiled. It is a very sharp car (it should be for the price you pay). Only thing I'm not digging is the square exhaust tips and the blank slate rear deck panel (they should have moved the license plate holder there, a la PJ302). And for krissakes......these aftermarket guys need to stop put lame-*** covers on the 1/4 windows. That stuff was cool for the first 2 or 3 years, now it just looks retarded.

But overall I like it. Can't wait to see one in black.

i thought that the color was one of the things that really grabbed you at the show. the car GLOWS...and although ive heard some negative things about the guys at the "new Saleen", they were very friendly to everyone when i was hanging out in their display. however, the SMS reps were real quick to talk trash on the folks at saleen performance. it was very childish...for the record, in speaking with steve saleen, he was very nice and chatty..it was his "people" who were talking trash on saleen performance.

sadly, the only thing i really like about the car is the shifter...they could have done a much better job, im not a big fan of the '10 to begin with tho...to each his own i guess

I think the base model has a lot to do with the final product when it comes to Saleen. You can ONLY do so much right.
