Default Does Ford still recommend BP?

I've noticed that many of the gas tank caps on ford vehicles say "ford recommends BP" and I was wondering if they were still doing this? Seems like horrible pr considering what's happening in the gulf.

Cool

the reason ford says they recommend BP on their gas caps is because BP pays them to. its advertisement for BP and if ford can make a little money off them i dont see why they would take the BP off their gas cap unless BP stopped paying them

I think Ford should drop them ASAP, but I heard that BP actually doesn't directly own the BP stations anymore.
They sold them off, but probably get some money from the owners.

And the gas they sell isn't necessarily all from BP anyway. Like the meat in your hamburgers, it all gets mixed up at the refineries and then sold to middlemen.

If Americans really wanted to hurt BP they'd kick out of office all the people who looked the other way, relaxed regulations and who are still saying how great BP is.

Yeah, agreed with all the above really. But the only way to tell, is to head to a dealer and take a look at the cap!
