Default Boss vs. GT500

Like many others I was wondering if the GT500 would be better than the new BOSS that is coming out in 2012. I have heard rumors about the GT500 being discontinued with the arrival of the BOSS. I was on youtube and found this Ford video that explains GT500 VS. BOSS. I think it sums up the differences between the two models very well, straight from the horses mouth too (Ford official talking)

Interesting video, kinda figured that was just understood though, especially considering that is how its always been... a quick look at the specs of the two cars says it all

Yea, but I was somewhat confused at what ford was saying about their Boss on the press releases for it.

well the gt500 isnt being discontinued i can say that with confidence. if it was then ford would need to up the production numbers on the "limited release" Boss. Which, is something that ford already said it wont do.
look at it this way:
the gt500 is to the boss what the cobra was the the cobra R in 93, 95 and 2000 (yes i know there was no 2k base-level cobra)

I'd actually say the Boss is more like the Mach 1 of the 03-04 Generation.

and I'd say the GT500 is what the 03/04 cobras are to it.

The GT500 will rule at the drag strip, the Boss will rule on the road course. Simple.

I would guess that the GT500 would not go away unless they come out with the SVT Cobra again instead.
