How can a 03 SVT focus trash talk on a 97 GT vert?

I think convertibles are kinda girly. So does my girlfriend. The way you described it it really didn't seem like he thinks his focus is better than the mustang. It can definitely handle better than a stock gt vert though lol.

I agree w demonhead, a mustang is a mustang. All of you choosing the focus have mustangs. Why? Because it's simply more appealing. I sometimes wish I didn't have a convertible but I can't complain because chicks dig it and I also get compliments from muscle car enthusiast who admire the 4.6L

Put it like this.. You're in the market for a car.. You go to the dealership. You have to choose between a Focus SVT and a 4.6L (V-8 I may add) mustang GT vert. Which would you leave with? As for me, I say the Mustang. Put some mods in that bi*** and let the fun began. For all you vert haters check out antiv6's ride. BTW it's a terminator...

It depends on what you are comparing. The SVT Focus will thrash a pig of a '97 vert Stang on handling and fuel economy. They are pretty zippy little cars and have room to mod (just like a Mustang). Looks is anyones call.

^most reasonable post in this thread. depends what you need. from a pure fun/going out point of view a mustang wins. however an SVT focus can be a fun DD. it also has room to actually haul things of a significant size around. fuel efficiency and handling taken into consideration and, stock for stock, the focus owns the mustang hard.
vargas. no offense man, but NO ONE admires your car's 4.6 from a muscle point of view. it's a solid reliable engine, but that NON-PI 2v is NOT muscular in the least. it wasn't even a competitor to it's contemporaries in terms of power. as far as which is "better" i guess that depends what mustang we are comparing to the SVT. id take a nice SVT focus any day over a single port v6 mustang. it will TRASH said mustang in a straight line, in MPG, and the twisties. looks as has been stated is a matter of opinion.
