What will 2013 bring?

What will 2013 bring?
So I've had quite a few ideas that have been bouncing around in my head for that last few days and I have to see what you guys/gals think.
As far as I've heard, Ford's contract with Shelby expires once the 2012 model year is up, and on top of that the 2013 is to be the last year of the current S197 platform. So this begs the question; "Will we have a switch back to the SVT Cobra nameplate, for the 20th anniversary?" or "Will the contract be extended for one more year?"
Here are my thoughts/opinions...
As much as I'd love to see a 20th anniv Cobra, I don't think that Ford will do this. I don't think that they will switch until the new platform, that way there is true distinction between the Cobra and the then phased out GT500, other than just a badge change.
So what will we get, you may ask? Well, here's some recent "spy shots" from insideline:

Now, they pose the question, 2013 GT500 or Boss302? I say neither. I think that we'll see a single year where the top tier Mustang is neither the GT500 or Cobra. I believe what the pictures above show is a prototype for a one year Boss351, thus the BOSS style cues. And here's why...
The current 5.4 is .8L larger than the old 4.6, with the same bore(90.2mm) and bore spacing(100mm) and a 29mm taller deck(227mm vs 256mm).
The new 5.0 has 2.8mm larger stroke than the 4.6(92.8mm vs 90mm) and a 2mm larger bore than both engines(92.2mm vs 90.2mm).
If the 5.0 shares the same deck height(227mm) as the 4.6 and the same bore spacing(100mm) as both engines, then we could assume that adding a 29mm taller deck height(same as the 5.4) to the Coyote, + the 105.8mm stroke of the 5.4, + 2.8mm additional stroke(108.6mm) that the coyote architecture allows, we would end up with a 5.8L Coyote variant. (paraphrased from a post by Ry_Trapp0 on SVTP)
Then apply the direct injection that the TiVCT series is spec'd for and you've got a fantastic N/A engine that can power a BOSS351 for a single year as top dog.
Now I know what you're thinking. "That's not going to happen. because that's way too much R&D for a single year engine run." And if it were a single year, I'd be inclined to think the same way. But. . . If we use the 5.8 later in FI form to power the all new platform 2013 SVT Cobra, then it's not wasted R&D.
Anyway, these are just a few thoughts I had, and honestly I have no idea what's actually going to come about in 2013, but no matter what it happens to be I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Am I the only one that read a Shelby magazine some 5-6 months ago where amy boland the shelby president said the 2014 Shelby will be the last production GT500 they will make and they will do nothing but performance parts after that ? Also she mentioned that it will be one super sweet aniversary edition to go out with a bang. I think I still have that magazine. I should scan it and post it, because I feel like I am the only one that read it. Especially when I hear this 2013 contract expiring thing.. weird
