Headlights-Tail lights
Maybe it's my IMAGINATION, but I see headlights and tail lights taking over car designs like GIGANTIC pimples! I hope Ford doesn't do this kind of designing to the new Mustang. I've seen headlights and tail lights taking over whole front fenders and rear quarter panels. It looks STUPID. I guess it saves the companies money on steel or something. Tell me it's not my imagination.

Not any particular model. Most cars look the same these days. Like little bugs with GIANT headlights and tail lights. It was just an observation. Even the Ford Festiva and the Focus have that look, if that helps with what I mean. It seems most companies are leaning toward "the BIG LIGHTS look great arena". I feel just the opposite. I just hope Ford doesn't go this route with the new 'Stang. Headlights on some small cars are soo long, they reach from the beginning of the fender to the start of the windshield! CRAZY!

I understand what you are saying. It seems to be proliferating amongst compact and subcompact vehicles the most. The "lens" or plastic housing will run the length of the fender. Its ugly in my book. Like you I think they feel its an easy styling element. Somehow though I feel the new Challenger taillamps work even though they take up the entire rear. Some of the ugliest taillight/reflector combos were on the Olds Aleros, those were huge and hideous. I'm with you, less is better in most cases.
