"Here it is!! The 2013 Ford Mustang is finally out there for all to see. Revealed live and in person at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on November 15th, the eve before the LA Auto Show. Ford has treated the faithful to a special unveiling. A limited number of tickets was offered to Mustang Club of America members first, then to the Mustang community.

Up on stage was a 2013 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca in School Bus Yellow, a V6 in a stunning shade of Deep Impact Blue, a Mustang GT Convertible in Sterling Grey and the GT500 in Grabber Blue – these are the same cars seen in the Ford Press release photos.

Also, as rumored on Mustang forums, the Shaker 1000 will be replaced with the Shaker PRO option. There will be 2 options for Brembo Brake packages, one looks to be more track oriented. Base model GTs will have the option of some SYNC tech and … wait for it … Recaro seats available on the 301A interior base model package.

Recaro seats will be an option for Mustang GTs as well as Torsen Diff, like on the Boss 302s. Sounds like Ford is throwing everything into the last hoorah years of the King of the Pony cars. And who can blame them. With sales down, a double dose of excitement might be just what the Mustang needs.

As for gears, the 3.55 and 3.73 gears will be a factory order option only, for fleet fuel mileage reasons. Dealers will no longer be able to order 3.55 or 3.73 equipped cars for dealer stock.

Also, The Bravery performed for the small crowd in the beautiful Belasco Theater. But they were not the only celebrities on hand. Carroll Shelby and his wife Chleo were there to introduce the GT500, which Mr. Shelby pronounced the ultimate Mustang Ford has built. Jim Farley introduced the show and on hand were the design and engineering team for the Mustang, including Mustang Chief Engineer Dave Pericak and SVT Chief Engineer Jamal Hameedi.

If you can arrange your schedule, plan on being at the LA Auto Show over the next 2 weeks and check the 2013 Mustang in person."

It's about time the HID's are standard equipment. It's time the Mustang joins the 21st century like it's competitors at Dodge. I have been putting off my purchase for this very reason. Ford has put it's money where it counts since 2011, I will give them that. But for me, I want to see the whole package, and not pay an arm and a leg for it. It looks like the 2013 Mustang is going to be the best Mustang yet.
