I this comes true like I fear it will, I will be done with Ford. Since before I could drive I have been a Ford person. Never really liked anything else.......If Ford decides that they'd rather bend over and serve the euro market by destroying the mustang and making it appeal to europe, to hell with them. I will never buy another Ford again. I teach history, and love the subject. The Mustang is a piece of American History, and I love it. If they destroy a piece of American history and throw American buyers under the bus, I am done with them. I'll become a nissan man, or a subaru man......But I'll never own a Ford product again. Thats good to, because I just bought a brand new 12 F150 STX last weekend....

I think Ford is behind alot of this, throwing out bits of information, rumors, photoshopped pictures and stuff to see what people think. I haven't really been paying attention lately, but it seems like "2015 Mustang" photos started showing up over a year ago?
Maybe Ford got the idea at that time that an huge styling change (like making the Mustang kin to the Aston Martins with a hint of jap scrap) is a bad idea, because most of us think the S197's in general are the best thing to happen since the 60's originals. I don't think Ford would be stupid enough to just do away with the Mustang body lines and styling cues altogether. I think they've just been getting a feel for where most people's opinions lie on the subject, it's been a while since major changes have been made to the Mustang. I'd imagine they're taking into account most people's reactions to the pictures and rumors and such, and I don't think the 2015 will be THAT much different from what we have now. I'm certain the 2014 models will be 2013's, just with more factory options, like maybe a functional factory shaker hood, exhaust options, louvers, stripes, another color or two, some badging, maybe some more suspension options etc.
It's the 50th anniversary of the Mustang after all, they wouldn't do anything TOO drastic, but they have to step it up, they have to make it a year to remember.
