Default Finally A Mustang in NHRA Pro Stock

After months of watching the Summitt boys Greg Anderson & Jason Line smugly parade their 5th Gen. F bodied Camaros around N.H.R.A., J.R. Carr finally fielded his S-197 Mustang bodied PS car at Seattle International Raceway this weekend!! Finally, a decent looking car to root for. Thanks J.R.

Larry Morgan has a real nice one also and has been the main hitter for the Ford camp for the last 3 years. But it is nice to see another Ford coming out the more the better. JRs car is very nice that is for sure. Now if the Cunningham cars could just get things up and moving.

That's true but Larry's changed the front of his so much it's almost not recognizable as a stang anymore except for the horse in the grill. I don't know how much they're allowed to change the body according to PS rules but Larry's changed his so much trying to make it more aerodynamic that I've been thinking that he's going to fail tech inspection. Unfortunately J.R. broke an engine at Seattle & didn't make the first round of eliminations. Probably wouldn't have mattered much as he didn't have lane choice & would have been stuck in the dreaded right lane where there were only 2 wins in P.S. & he didn't make it to Brainard this week.

All these pro stock bodies look like eggs with a different manufacturers grill. I say take the stock body panels from from a Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger and drop them on a tube frame chassis. That and no Pontiacs which are long gone. Do that and it would be much more worth watching.
