Boss vs. Evo
Don't know if this has already been posted, but it was an interesting review

Definitely an interesting comparison... There really wasn't much of a baseline to compare the two cars, besides the closeness in price, Brembo brakes, and Recaro seats being the main/only similarities I noticed...

Not really a review, more of a summary. There's not driving data to check out unless you follow to actual article.

definitely an apples to oranges comparison - though, price wise, they could be cross shopped.
Evos are great cars - out of the box, they have a ton of potential and are very easy to upgrade the power level on them. Very cost effective tuner car. I have one friend that is around 390 awhp with all of the simple bolt ons he could think of. I have another that is around 450awhp with the same goodies but a turbo and cam upgrade as well, on a very conservative and safe tune. these are both on evo 9s (prior gen)
.. though the one they tested (MR), is power limited, the auto transmission on that model can't hold up very well beyond something around 350hp.

Thanks for posting up our Blog article! We found the video and thought it was pretty cool, mostly because of the Boss' ability to handle at the track against an AWD sports car. I know it's not quite apples to apples, but still somewhat interesting to watch, IMO.

It looks like the Evo was being pushed harder than the Boss. Compare the video of the Boss and the Evo in the corners and the Evo is swaying like crazy while the Boss is pretty leveled out.
Interesting comparison though, the end was funny. Lol.

Played with an EVO X a couple days ago, ha... On that note the EVO and STI are better suited as family cars with performance in mind. My WRX was pretty comfy sitting people in the back and with the mods done was a beast in a straight line and corners.
