Default The 2015 Ford Mustang Could Go On A Massive Diet

The current Ford Mustang GT packs a ton of power, but at 3,600 pounds, it's far from being a lightweight. But that may change with the all-new 2015 Mustang, which is reportedly going to cut out the carbs and hit the CrossFit gym a lot harder than its predecessor.

Wow with that amount of power with a much lighter body, the Mustang will be one hell of a beast!

Bigger wheels, tires and brakes, plus more sound deadener and for sure heavier bumpers. You know perhaps also that the 8.8 rear end weighs more tha the old nine inch. Throw in more weight in the climate control and stereo (speakers, amps). It's no wonder the current Mustang weighs more than a 69/70.

Yea but, gotta look at construction of the car, park a new mustang next to one of the older mustangs, the new mustang is much more beefier and will survive an accident as to the old mustang which will disintegrate. They didn't have auto regulations back then or crash testing so, they built them to look good not to survive a crash.

If ford brought the 1990 Mustang GT and 1993Cobra Back, with today's technology, they would not have to worry about competition and sales whatsoever.

I definitely agree, the car is way too HEAVY, DROVE A FEW NEW PONIES

The car would practically sell itself in all aspects.

A core problem is that, the cost of a new vehicle exceeds the income of most American Families.
Despite this problem, manufactures continue to throw unneeded features and electronics into vehicles, resulting in staggering debt for its customers and company.

The Fox body's were the hottest sellers and never showed decline in purchasing.

Then you bring in these new foreign miscellaneous engineers and non automobile corporate staff, that don't even know much of American Muscle or drive a Mustang, yet, they run the party=failure.

You can tell, the same engineer is making the new Mustang that makes the new fords, the headlights and front end look similar.
