Last Monday, I ordered the 2015 Ecoboost Premium Convertible. Today they called and said the factory isn't taking 2015 orders any longer, and they're going to order me the 2016 model. Great, except that now I have to wait 12-16 weeks according to them.

Is the 12-16 week estimate accurate, or are they completely guessing? What time of year do the new models start going out?

Any idea what's different on the 2016? I know it's Sync v3, but I don't know much other than that. Same HP? Any other changes?

JC, it's only May, damn, good luck man, I don't think anyone knows the HP difference numbers, but if were me I wouldn't order till I knew everything

They're sending the info over Monday. If they can order it, they better know the details right? I'm not sure why there isn't any 2016 info online if they stopped making the 2015's.

My guess about that time period is that they shut down the factory for a bit then after the break, they ramp up production for the new model year. For whatever reason, calendar year and model year on new vehicles only line up for about half a calendar year.

There isnt a 2015 on a lot somewhere in the country that has what you want? 12 to 16 weeks is a long time, man.

Seems a little early in the year to me. Back in 2012 in August I had to order a 2013 because I'd just missed the cut off point for a 2012.
June just seems too early for cutting off production of 15 Mustangs.
