i doubt it was a real GT 500, cause they're not out yet for 1, and most ppl see are red with a white hood, and theres 1 other color i forget which. I saw a black mustang with red stripes tht said GT 500 on the side and had cobra emblems on it, but it had the GT grill so i knew it wasnt.

Speaking of $75000 cars, did anyone see the new skyline? I want it. I am actually really impressed with nissan's cars, my moms got the 05 maxima, and that thing is a fun car, even though its a full sized 4 door. Of course its not a pushrod v-8, but it does have 2 turbos (the skyline that is). too much money though, I'll start saving for the gt500.

nah skip that isnt it, i was a real gt500 im sure of it, i looked at the grill (actually the first thing i saw) and it was way different from reg. gt models, even had that air diffuser in the rear. IT was more of a dark midmight blue with lighter looking gold stripes. My girlfriend works for Stevenson Lexus and she told me they were selling the new IS models 5 months before they were supposed to, its just all in who you know

You never know what you might see out there.........there were 28 early build mach ups that had correct nose but not tail....... Vista Blue would be the dark blue that will be offered, however much of the badging you describe sounds accurate....... actual pre-production units will be starting soon, with regular production of a predetermined number of units per hour will be built daily starting in june........

I live near Denver as well....
I don't think the one you saw was the real thing, we've got a red one down in highlands ranch, LOOKS EXACTLY like the GT500, stripes/bumpers/wheels/hood..the whole thing...I followed him to his house to talk to him b/c as it turns out he lives only a few blocks away...it was a flippin' V6 w/ a body kit!...

not even the SVT dealers have access to these cars yet...Ford does have a few of the "test mules" roaming around like the one I saw on I-70 AND got pictures of it (see below)
you can do a lot w/ a body kit and some paint...but the retail market is not allowed to have them yet...it's just too early....

check out the real thing, complete w/ front and rear diagnostic equip and some type of transmission antenna on top...
