werd.... I missed a normal shift the other day...pissed me off, but it didn't grind that bad. I miss 3rd quite a bit.

slower i shift, the more i miss. i actually miss second most because i wont put it in all the way. i feel like such an assclown when i do that. you know, i dont think i've ever missed 3rd except once i was shifting really slow and accidentally put it into 5th.

I need to tighten up my shift linkage...I have to lean back to be comfortable in my car, and 3rd is a long throw...sometimes I think I'll have it in, let off the clutch *griiiiiiiiiind, POP* and then I'll have to put in the clutch, let out the clutch, put it back in and then pop it into 3rd. It's embarrassing...

why not just put the clutch in and put it in gear? synchronizing it or something?

because if I miss a gear and just try to slam it back in after i ground it, it'll just grind and pop it back out....so basically yeah, you're pretty much right, I gotta let the clutch out and back in to get in sync'd right so it won't pop it out.

my old car was so hard to shift in gears were somwhare between the US and Africa now my stock mustang shifter feels like a short throw shifter i never miss a shift no matter how im driving

I miss third a lot also. At first I was thinking it was when I was racing but today I was leaving my xhaust place and I was taking it pretty easy and I grinded t a little. Pisses me off to because people look at you like "damn... learn to drive that thing if its going to be that loud and annoying".
