ANOTHER! Z06 vs 03 Cobra

RE: ANOTHER! Z06 vs 03 Cobra
I am not refering to dollar vs dollar, or even which car to buy. What I am refering to is the ease of which a car can be modified, and how many of them are.
Once in a blue moon you see a modified z06. We have ONE vid (and just now only) of a supercharged z06.
There is absolutly no comparason between someone buying a vette and spending 80 grand on it, compared to someone buying a 03 and putting a few overtime checks towards mods.
Im sorry that nobody agrees with me, but I am almost to the point that i consider a 03 with a pully and chip as "stock". When I look at comparing the 2 cars, I compare the cobra with these two insanely cheap and easy mods. Not to mention the fact that almost EVERYONE that buys a cobra has done this. As I said its almost getting hard to find a 03 with any miles on it that doesnt already have the chip and pully.
Not to be brand specific here though. Have you ever seen the intake setup for the ram air cars, or hell even the Iroc, camaros??? I dont consider someone ripping off all of that restrictive junk and slapping on a K&N to be much of a mod. If I owned one, with that only, I would consider it stock. Same thing for the GT. Is it unfair to compare a GT with the air silencer removed to other cars that are stock?
I guess nobody shares my opinion here. I guess in the end what im thinking is this: If you owned a cobra with pully/chip/exaust, how many times out of 100 do you think you would lose in a race with a random z06? My guess is not very dammed many, not because the z06 isnt a capable car, but because there arnt very many modded ones around (I for one have never seen one with heavy mods).

You have a point. Corvettes in a whole are typically not modded cars. They're worth way more original. That's the reason we have f-body's. You buy them to mod, not to keep.

And I say again, the most $$$ wins, this is an example of what money can get you in any motor mount configuration, Ford, Chevy, Dodge...compliments of Ryan Falconer performance, Salinas, Ca. Which while stationed at Ft Ord, I had the pleasure of visiting, Man, what a place.
