A great flyer is retired.
as some of you know the f-14 "tomcat" has been retired. thought id show you guys who appreciate these amazing machines a cool vid. lets hope the new generation of fighters are as great as the old ones. farewell f-14

nice vid, i hate that they are getting retired they are one of my favorite planes ever built. they had an excelent combat record too.
the plane that is replacing it is only superior in electronics nothing else. its a bad idea to replace it.

wow. awesome vid.
they WILL be missed. imo, theyre the best figher jet ever made. they ARE the best long range fighter jets. period. i dont care what replaces them(the Raptor i think is), theyre still #1 in my book.
when i was at tech school, i was like 5 miles away from the big navy base in Va Beach. all day/night hear nothing but jets. it was AWESOME. saw F14's all the time. even saw a couple Raptors fly out b4 i came back home. best part....one day at work, which was literally RIGHT ACROSS 264 from the runway.....oohhhh......we heard some planes(we were outside, due to being slow), and RIGHT over the treeline, came 2 Tomcats BARELY above the trees, and as soon as they were, hard banked to the left. it was FUGGIN AWESOME !!! never forget that. but, hopefully the Raptors can do what the Tomcats did. at least to some extent. again, nice vid.
Edit: does anybody kno the name of 2nd or 3rd song, by Red Hot Chili Peppers ?? i like the song, but dont kno the name of it.....
