Default Digital Camcorder - Your thoughts?

What's up guys!

Haven't posted in a while but I wanted to ask you guys what your opinion was on what kind of digital camcorder I should buy. My birthday is coming up soon and I'm really wanting to get one to start making videos of the stang and such.

So for camcorder owners...what do you use and/or what would your recommend for me to get? And also, what software do you use for video editing and such. Any other tips or pointers would be awesome.

Thanks!

my buddy just got it, because we went to GM historical Museum, pretty cool to see older cars progress into what we have today and some cars that should have made it, but for some reason flopped...dosnt mean much for this forum though

If you can get one more expensive than that, I would highly recommend it. Never heard of that brand, and it frankly looks pretty cheap.

I got a sony handycam (dvd discs) model DCR-DVD101 and I have been very happy with it. Good quailty and it doesn't eat thru the battery TO fast.

yea i have a miniDV camera and its like 3x more expensive than the one i posted above!

its cheap, but techonlogy is obsolete after 3 months, so the price is right for what you're getting.
it also comes with a bunch of supporting hardware and software...but you can spend the extra $$ and get a really really nice camera aswell!
