That ticking noise sounds like spark plugs in the tail pipe. Could be wrong of course, just thats what the sound reminds me off.

the ticking is a stuck injector. it stuck open which is what is causing the sound and the fire in the tailpipe.
i saw that happen on mack E7 454 once
