You know, they have this cool stuff called tape and cardboard, and if you are luck enough to have scissors you can cut it to shape.

Just use a screwdriver and take it off but keep it in the car just in case.

for an auto that wasent the worst on wet pavement i guess. Im gonna give u the benifit of the doubt saying you took it easy in there since it looks like u were doing this in a residental area.
