that's the nastiest looking dyno I think I've seen... is that a ski slope or a dyno sheet? I guess you need to run the engine at ELEVENTY BILLION rpm's to race well

Too bad it still won't run better than 9's. I saw on Sport Compact that the Nation's fastest Supra is 9.50 @ 150 mph? Very impressive trap speed, but their just don't have the torque (and aren't usually set up for drag race traction either) to shoot off the line at 1.2s 60' like the big block V8s.

Also, they sound too tame for their power levels, which is good or bad. Compare that to the GranNational doing a 1000hp+ dyno.

But, yeah, Supras and Skylines can handle 1000+ hp stock bottom end, though with a rather crappy torque curve - still drives like a Camry at 2000 rpm. (A 600 hp Cobra at 2000 rpm is hauling ***)

i guess 9's are alright for a street car with a stock 3.0L engine. supras just arent drag cars. never have been, never will be. some people just have huge egos and/or turbos.

Woopty do! A forged motor can handle over 1000rwhp, I'd have never guessed it.

EDIT: killer curve btw. Nothing like making max power for 3 seconds.

I just don't see why ppl drool all over the nuts of these cars. Or Cobra's for that matter. They're forged motors with power adders. w00t! I'ma gonna goes and makes me some mad tyte powah. I might even run 12's with 500rwhp. w00 h00!!!1
