Well, before you start cranking the boost, you'll have to build up stronger internals with a lower compression.

I don't know a thing about the 05s but my guess is that they aren't designed for boost right out of the factory.

357 is kinda sad, a stock Cobra puts out more than that.
True about the Cobra, but this is their first test at very low boost. I'll wait until they test it again with 8 pounds of boost. That twin turbo would be a perfect set up for a street sleeper. It'll be interesting to find out if it can handle over 8 PSI without blowing up the motor.

nice lookin 05 GT you got there man. They have similar set ups for the Fox Body 5.0's but the horse power rating is off the wall 1,000-1,900 hp (depending on what turbos are used). Turbo Kits is the name of the company you can get it from. There right near where i live in CT. Wow its nuts what kind of a car you can have if you have dough.

Absolutely. They just want to do it a little at a time, working the tweaks out along the way. This is big time terra incognita, so they are being careful with their $30,000 experiment. They will take it to 8-9 psi the very next time they make a pull, which could be any day. Later this spring, they are going to bump the psi up until something breaks so they will know the limitations.

Then I bet they go fully forged, port matched, cams, valve jobs and heck knows what else and make over 1,000 HP

Why would you put twin turbo's on for only 3lbs of boost? WTF is the point?
Thats 3 lbs. on each side, you guys have to remember its TWIN turbo. So its six pounds of boost, which is where I just about start at with a TT project, unless I start with forged internals.

You sure about that? I didn;t read the link, but i just assumed the boost was overall boost - seems logical to mesure it overall to me.

I am sorry,I also didnt read the link.I am used to the way my friends and I build up a twin turbo. When we talk about boost we talk about each side, not all togather like theese guys did.So it seems that overall they are running 3.5 lbs. of boost, which is a waste of time if you ask me! Like I said before I usually start out at(combined boost) 6 or 7 lbs. of boost,on a stock engine,10 on forged. But i guess I can see there standpoint, they are working on a slightly newer design of 4.6 (3v 300 h.p)

I'm with you guys - I want to see this thing FLY. But if you think about it, the biggest waste of time would be to damn the torpedos and boost this thing up and blow it up. THAT would be a waste of time. I mean, they've only been working on it like a month and a half.
They're chomping at the bit to do a 8-9 psi run (and that is not measure per side, BTW), they are just waiting on SCT for some tweaks. I can't wait! I'd like to think maybe they're conservative at 450 rwhp, but they are rarely off on their initial estimates. Fofitty at the wheels would be like 520 at the crank. KEWL!
