Here’s a Pretty Good Theory About Why So Many Mustangs Crash

It's numerous issues from the unibody design of how the trailing arms attach to the car not being heavily reinforced, lack of a track bar on the rear, rubber bushings on the trailing arms allowing side to side movement of the axle and also axle wrap from the engine torque. When the car shifts the rear axle moves sideways losing traction for a brief second and then when torque is applied it is essentially steering the car from the rear causing drivers to over compensate the steering direction of the car.

An abundance of "dumb ****". You take some goober who would have trouble keeping an old crown vic on a straight line (remember RWD IS diffrent), and you put him in a high horsepower Just about, but not quite full blown track car, Then you tell 'em to drive it like it's got big numbers on the door.....

This was filmed in Germany. The car in question is from Bergisch-Gladbach & Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, (North-
Rhine-Westphalia) according to the plate.
Not likely to show up at a "Cars and Coffee" event.
Not likely to ever see a Crown Victoria (here). Perhaps a higher end BMW, middle end Porsche or Audi for the same kind of cost (here in Germany) as the Shelby.
Everybody has a bad day or first time - better on the track than the street.
And the next filmed run(s) with the same car were much cleaner.
Love all the experts here.
