5spd manual
169,000 miles
Power options -- door locks, windows, mirrors, cc, working a/c.
CD Player
Clean title
Modifications (otherwise stock):
CAI w/ K&N filter
MAC O/R H-pipe (will need catalytic converters to pass SMOG)
Flowmaster catback
Recent Replacements:
Radiator
Battery
Alternator
Serpentine belt
Headlight lenses
Spark plugs/wires
Problems:
*Tranny has a bad 2nd gear synchro mechanism.
*Leaky rack and pinion on driver side.
*Possible faulty idle air control valve.
*Electrical -- gauges don't work when the headlights are turned on. wipers don't work, either. this car will need some rewiring/electrical work.
*Cosmetic -- large dent in passenger side rear fender, medium dent in driver side front fender, and two small dents on the driver side rear fender. Rust is beginning to show where the paint is peeling on these dents, and there are also patches of rust on the undercarriage. Small crack on lower left corner of the front windshield.
Also, this car has Maryland tags, and will need temporary tags offered by the CA DMV for cars that aren't prepared to pass SMOG inspection. I will need to take the Maryland plates upon sale of the vehicle. It's easy to obtain temp. tags from the DMV; all you need to do is take the title with you and fill out the necessary forms for registration. The tags will be good for 30 days, which should give you time to have the car inspected and to get the car up to par with SMOG.

Cammed99gt: This has been my daily driver for the past couple of years. I drove it across the country from Maryland to California in 3 days with no problems. Even though there is a 2nd gear synchro problem, it does shift into 2nd. The car definitely starts every time and the motor is strong. I'd say the biggest worry with this car would be the electrical issues, since it causes the gauges to not function properly and the wipers don't work. Same thing with the gauge lighting -- not working. You'd basically be driving in the dark at night time. Now, this hasn't been a problem for me since I know the car well and can judge the rpm, speed, etc. I've been keeping track of how much fuel I have by measuring out the mileage. So, it's driveable, but sooner or later it will either need to be taken to an electrician, or you could install a whole new wiring harness.
Like I said before, I drove the car across the country in 3 days andthe onlyresulting problem was a crack in the radiator. Obviously I can't promise anything, but I'd bet on it getting you back to OK. You just have to decide whether or not coming all the way out here for a car like this is worth it.
