RE: WTB: 87-93 vert 5.0 GT
I have a '91 (LX) Convertible Saleen reproduction that is in mint condition.
Basic stats:
Ext.: Silver; Int: White Leather; Top: Black
* ~81,000 actual mi.
* 5.0L - Stock (new Motorcraft plugs w/ less than 1000mi.; Mobil1)
* 5speed - rebuilt with less than 1000mi. since installed.
* Hurst shifter
* Top is immaculate (w/ glass rear window)
* New clutch when trans. was installed (Ford Motorsport clutch); I also have a nearly-new King Cobra clutch and pressure plate as well as a firewall adjuster and Quadrant
* Interior is fair - no splits or cracks, but the leather has the typical spiderweb hairline cracks
* White-faced gauges
Additionally, I have some of the components for a 5-lug conversion which I have not had the time or ambition to complete (I have: 5-lug axles for Rr discs, SN95 brake booster and master cylinder)
This car is in incredible condition cosmetically. The paint is not completely flawless, although it looks very good. Most importantly, the body is perfect. There is absolutely no rust, including door panels, hood, trunk, sills, etc. The undercarriage is equally clean, including drivetrain and exhaust.
Basically, this is a really nice car that is great to enjoy as-is, or has the potential to be the ultimate clean Fox body with the standard list of upgrades (5-lug conversion, headers and stainless exhaust, springs, etc.)
I'm looking to get $9000 for it. This car is worth every penny and maybe more, but I don't have the time or space to do what I want with it as I had originally hoped.
