1966 Ford Mustang. 200 C.I. Six Cylinder, 3 Speed Manual. 90k
This car is a perfect example of the 1966 Mustang. The interior has been restored to semi-show condition and it was beautifully refinished in the original factory color prior to our ownership. We have owned, maintained and loved this car since 1998.

VEHICLE CONDITION
The pictures here show how beautiful this car is. All imperfections are very minor such as the driver seat wear and few tiny dings in the paintwork. This is not a show vehicle but we recently attended a show here in Grass Valley and our Mustang simply outclassed the show cars; its less common factory color, clean interior, original wheels and perfect chrome sets it apart from the red convertibles and tricked out hot-rod Mustangs. This is the way the car was intended to look by the designer 39 years ago. It's classic lines are a source of constant admiration from passers by and owner alike; you have to sneak a glance backwards every time you park this car! As far as we know this is a California car through and through - there is no rust anywhere and she was garaged every winter up here in the foothills - Mustangs just aren't snow cars!

This Pony has also performed wonderfully as a daily driver - get in, turn the key and drive away. It needs nothing doing to it. She runs smooth and strong. Its a driver's car and it hugs corners very respectably for a vehicle its age. The motor is strong and has only stranded us once back in 2000 when the midday heat in Sacramento caused a vapor-lock; this was promptly fixed by rerouting and heat shielding the fuel lines and we were back on the road. We traveled all over California in this car from LA to San Francisco - you don't have to be afraid of long journeys! Gas mileage is what you'd expect at around 17/18 mpg.

Repair and Resurface Exhaust manifold

KNOWN PROBLEMS
All the main mechanical parts of the car are in good order - many have been recently replaced or constantly maintained but there are a few small items that are in need of some care or an afternoon tinker:
- Driver side window does not fully seal and whistle can occur above 55mph.
- Cigarette Lighter does not work. We don't smoke!
- Windshield washer pump not pumping.
- Horn works intermittently.
- Front Tires are close to replacement wear.
- Blue paint of air cleaner and engine is flaking.

SUMMARY
Registered through October. We love this car and it is truly difficult to sell but we have two classics and live in the mountains - we had to buy a 4WD and to cover the cost we have to sell the Mustang. The other Classic is a Plymouth that we are just beginning to restore so its the beautiful Mustang that has to go. It needs a good owner. Thanks for your interest! Email for more pics!
