Year: 1968
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang

Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State/Prov): VA

1968 Mustang 2-door convertible, red, white top and boot, black interior and carpet, front bucket seats, rear bench seat, 6-cyl 200 cu. in. engine rebuilt and painted in 2011, C4 3-speed automatic transmission overhauled in 2009, $2K in frame welding done in 2008, right front inner apron and battery tray replaced in 2013, manual steering and brakes, no A/C. Has am/fm/cassette, and separate Pioneer am/fm/cd/mp3 player. Has new front kick panels with speakers.

When purchased in October 2006 car had just been painted, and a new vinyl top and new carpet had been installed. Mileage shown on odometer when purchased was 22,468. Mileage now is 33,474.

Since that time the following new parts have been installed: ‘Pony Carburetors’ Autolite 1100 large venturi concours restoration carb, electronic ignition, white convertible top boot, seat belts, floor mats, tie rod ends, water pump, drive shaft and u-joints, voltage regulator, turn signal switch, battery, starter solenoid, temperature sender, oil pressure sender, sparkplug wires, wheel bearings, undercoating, tires, trunk and hood weatherstrip, rear shocks, rear spring shackles and bushings, fan belt, radiator and heater hoses, new radiator, new steel fuel lines, high and low pitch horns, Have receipts for all work done.

Work needed: Original cowl fresh air intake vent assembly (driver's side) needs to be reinstalled (I have the original part). Inner cowl is rusted on both sides right around where the vent holes are; the rest of the inner cowl is not rusted.

Accessories/spare parts: reproduction owner’s manual, Marti report, Ford Motor Company marti-type report, original 1968 Virginia highway map, original type four-post lug wrench, new ‘yellow top’ ignition coil, new oil pressure sender, new temperature sender, new cowl vent cover, original Mustang letters for trunk, original Mustang pony side emblems, repair manuals, original chrome side view mirror, original chrome door handles, spare ignition cylinder with key, steel fuel lines, air filter cover, plus other odds and ends.

Car has always been garage kept since purchased in 2006. This car is sound and runs very well. There are no shifting issues and no body damage.

Asking $15,500. Serious inquiries only please. More photos available upon request. Thanks for looking.

Message for board moderator: It would be great to see these pics people attach to classifieds. Unfortunately I get a message telling me I don't have permission when I click on the link.
Thanks.

I believe what you have to do is "subscribe" to this portion of the forums. If my memory serves me correct you have to open your user control panel to do this.

Thanks, I subscribed, same result. I also read the sticky - apparently I won't see them until I have 50 posts. Since I don't know enough to be dangerous about cars that means I need to ask about another 35 silly questions. Make that 34
