Like all New Edge Mustang GTs, this example is powered by a 4.6-liter V-8 making 260 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The transmission was updated in the fall of 2011 to replace worn synchros, a common problem in Tremac T-45 transmissions. The clutch was resurfaced, and the rear differential serviced at the same time.
The Mustang is lightly modified. The previous owner installed a smog-legal K&N cold air intake, and a rad-sounding Flowmaster cat-back exhaust. He also installed a Steeda Tri-Ax short-throw shifter, and two A-pillar gauges from Auto Meter. There's also a no-name aftermarket amplified for the stereo in the trunk. The only modification I've done to the car is fitting it with 18x9 TSW Nürburgring wheels with wider 275/35/18 Continental Conti SportContact 3 summer tires last winter. The wheels and tires probably have less than 500 miles on them. Sadly, there's a bit of curb rash on one of the wheels. The sale also includes the original 17x8 wheels that came with the Mustang, shod with Continental ExtremeContact DWS all-season tires. Those tires have probably 25,000 miles on them, and plenty of tread life left.
Options on the car include leather seats, cruise control, the Mach 460 sound system, power driver's seat, rear window defroster, anti-theft alarm system, and traction control.
Mechanically, this Mustang is in great shape. It's got a full service history, drives great, and has plenty of life in it. It'd be just as home commuting each and every day to work as it would be cruising around for fun on the weekends.
Cosmetically, the Mustang needs very little. With the exception of a tiny blemish on the hood, the paint still has plenty of shine and luster in it, and looks great. As you'd expect in a 15-year old car, there are two minor imperfections in the sheetmetal, both caused by errant shopping carts; there's a dime-sized bump on the front-passenger quarter panel, and a nickel-sized bump on the passenger door. Neither is noticeable unless you're up close and looking for them, and so I never bothered to have it fixed. The interior's in great shape too, with tiny bit of wear on some of the plastics. The headliner and upholstery are in excellent shape, though.
I really hate having to let my Mustang go, but with a wedding to pay for, and work providing me with a car it makes little financial sense to hang on to. My loss is your gain. I'd be happy to answer any questions should you have them.
