Default looking for a Mustang. Want to know more about it.

Ok, I am a newbie here.
My 95 Probe GT was finally gone in an accident. It is a good chance to move on. I have been thinking of a Mustang for a long time. I think I want a 95~99 manual V6 Mustang with sunroof and ABS.
I know it is hard to find one that has all these. But I am trying.
Now, I just want to know what's the common problem with a V6 Mustang in 95~99. What should I pay attention to when I am buying a used Mustang.
Thanks in advance.

Get a V8 If you want a V6 then get a 99 or up. The 95-98 is underpowered at 150hp....compared to 190hp with the 99+ mustang. Welcome to the forum!

Why the 95-99 V-6? Is it 'cause of cost, or desire for that particualar year/model? If not cost, I urge you to consider a newer model and a V-8 if ya can. If for year/model, I can't comment.
I recently shopped for a 2000 Stang, but I was more impressed by the later models and ended up with an '02 coupe but my advice is get what you want and what you can afford, and research it before you buy. Standard advice. For me, the V-8 made a less-desirable daily driver (+ insurance, ouch). Get exactly what you want for the use and the cost. My post-buy advice? Get what you can afford, but get the most out of it. In hindsight I wish I'd gotten the V-8....next year~[&:]

yeah, cost is my major concern. I really don't have that much money to buy a V-8. And I think I can live with V-6 for now. You know, switch from Probe GT which has 160HP and 165 Torque, V-6 Mustang is already enough, well at least for a couple years.

And, sorry guys, I was wrong. I thought 95 ~ 99 are the same. Actually, the new model started from 99. Now I know.

Since I am also looking for a mustang, why do most people suggest a V8? Besides the speed and the rumble that it makes, what else does it have in its favor. Personally, I would love to have a V8 but hubby says I don't need it.

Help me here, I REALLY NEED SOME GOOD RESPONSES to convince him to get a GT instead of a V6 engine. I even said he could drive it once in a while. LOL!!!!

A V-6 is no "fake", whatever, so raymondc and Leadfoot ( I already gave my little opinion in your earlier post), do your research and get what is both what you want and what you can afford. A V-6 stang is a sweet upgrade from a probe and you'll see it right away.
Good luck and welcome!
