Default first mod

I just bought a new (04) Gt and I was wondering what you guys tink should be the first mod. I had the older 4.6 in my tbird and I know the first thing to do was put on a better exhaust. The GT seems to have a decent exhaust so what would be the best place to start?

Best performance mod = 4.10 gears
Coolest first mod = Cat-back exhaust... afterall... you wanna SOUND like a Mustang right?

How much of a difference did you get with the 4.10 gears? Was it pretty significant? Sorry if the question seems stupid I just have never messed with the gears before.[sm=sigh.gif]

Gears sound like the favorite mod, but supercharger also sounds good too[IMG][/IMG]. What I have noticed is that I squeal the tires with so much ease, I even get it with second and on occasion third. What do you guys think of traction?

After I did gears I got the "occasional" 3rd. I had longtubes and full exhaust at the time. I went to 4.10 gears and I could bark 3rd like I used to could bark 2nd - and 4th gear I could bark everytime I powershifted. I ran 1 time at the track and immediately installed Nitto drag radials. I could no longer bark 4th and not even 3rd. I could bark 2nd barely still and it just pulled so hard it would give you whiplash when you shifted. Definately my favorite mod for the price. I did have to get an aluminum driveshaft after the gear install though because I got some nasty vibration after the swap.
