New 2005 Mustang GT Owner
I just purchased 1 of 2 available 2005 Mustang GT's in the greater Raleigh NC area. Any questions anyone has about this car I would be more than happy to answer to the best of my ability...... with a huge grin

I bet you would. Welcome to the forums, Good luck on your new car and get some pics up here. BTW how does it go from 0-60, is it smooth? Drive hard for all us. But break it in first.

I have never been a firm believer in the so called "Break-in" period and this was only compounded by the owners manual stating that there were no "Special Needs" for this engine during break-in other than making sure you were liberal on throttle change-up for the first 1000 miles. As for the picture request, I am getting an ASP error when trying to upload. I actually traded a 2003 Mitsubishi EVO VIII for this car, so I feel I can give a reasonable explanation of the 0-60 experience...... Hair on fire, borderline insane torque! With traction control STILL ON, the pony will still chirp the Pirelli rubbers when shifting to 2nd at 4k on the tac. Considering that the fuel shutoff comes in at roughly 62k, I thinks thats pretty damn good.

Honestly, I have never been a Ford man. I grew up a total Chevrolet motor head. After drifting to the rice-rockets for awhile though, I was more than ready to return to american muscle car roots. My hat's off to the Ford team for reintroducing this incredible american muscle car icon.

I grew in a chevy family, Flint, Michigan area if that means anything to you. (Birthplace of General Motors)
Then I had a Honda CRX in college, which was very fun albeit underpowered, then a modified Eagle Talon TSi AWD, which was quite quick but not the most reliable. Then I bought a Ranger, which was fun to play with in the mud, but blah on the road. Saw a deal I couldn't refuse on my 04 GT and went for it.
